Mind Potpourri

This time 2 years ago, my bratty boo was in ICU, coming out of a coma. She’d suffered from acute chest syndrome, a serious complication related to sickle cell disease. Just a few days prior, the doctors had suggested that the family come in to prepare for goodbyes. When she was finally off life support and back in a regular room, the respiratory doctor said she would always be a severe asthmatic, depending on daily breathing treatments and an inhaler. Today, she doesn’t need the inhaler and breathing treatments. She’s also no longer taking folic acid for her sickle cell. The power of prayer saved my bambina. You don’t have to believe, but I have living proof in my beautiful 8 year old niece. Just felt like sharing.
